Tenby in Wales
Tenby is located in on the south Welsh coast, along Carmathen Bay, in the exceptionally beautiful county of Pembrokeshire. Often nicknamed the Welsh Riviera, Tenby has long been one of Wales’ most popular seaside resorts and it’s easy to see why.Famous as a medieval walled town Tenby has plenty of historic character. The area also boasts narrow little streets within the walls, where a host of interesting shops and restaurants will no doubt catch your eye. Its charm is further enhanced by its pretty pastel coloured Regency houses that line its picture postcard harbour area. Whilst the striking ruined castle that stands proudly looking out to sea offers visitors some of the best local views.
The main reason most visitors come to Tenby though is to enjoy its wonderful beaches. The long stretches of golden sand are sheltered, making this a very popular resort for families with young children. There are also plenty of attractions to keep kids of all ages occupied, and the surrounding countryside is another must see sight.
